The cooperation will include the exchange of experts and the introduction of new methods in patient care, and it has been agreed today during Lončar's visit to Germany, to mutual satisfaction, as the Minister and his host pointed out.
Scholz said that he was very pleased to play host to the Minister of Health of Serbia today.
"This is a great opportunity to show our new building, digitalisation, logistics and equipment, operating rooms, the paediatrics department and the Emergency Centre. The Minister informed us that you have just built and opened a new clinical centre in Serbia that looks amazing like ours, and this is a great opportunity to exchange ideas on how to cooperate in the long run and improve the future operation of our centres," said Scholz.
Lončar thanked Šolc for taking almost three hours for discussion and agreements with him at the time of the pandemic, but also of the current developments in Europe.
"We have been able to see on the spot what one of the best hospitals in Germany, as it is officially rated, looks like. We agreed on further cooperation," said Lončar, adding that he expected Professor Scholz in Belgrade, in order to continue cooperation.
He explained that cooperation had been agreed regarding the exchange of experts, and in the introduction of new methods, which are still not implemented in Serbia.
“There is a lot of room for cooperation, for now we have agreed on its initial steps, and we will have the first results already at the end of the year. This is important for our citizens, our doctors, to be in contact with those who are the best in Europe and among the best in the world,” highlighted Lončar.
Visiting the Clinical Centre in Kiel with the Minister were Dr Marko Ercegovac, Director of the CCS Emergency Centre and Dr Siniša Dučić, Director of the "Tiršova", University Children’s Clinic, and the Serbian delegation got acquainted with the operation of this health care institution, which annually admits about 450,000 patients and is the second largest health care institution in Germany.
