The Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Dr Zlatibor Lončar and the World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe Dr Hans Kluge signed today the Biennial Collaborative Agreement between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO), which will include immunisation, mental health, antimicrobial resistance, digitalisation in health and chronic non-communicable diseases, with implied support for recovery from the effects of the COVID pandemic. The Minister of Health, Dr Zlatibor Lončar, thanked Dr Kluge for his sincere and wholehearted support and highlighted that the agreed collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the WHO would make a significant contribution to further strengthening and development of the Serbian health care system. The WHO Regional Director Dr Kluge underlined the significant progress and the stability of the Serbian health care system during the great global public health crisis caused by the pandemic, expressing hope that the continuation of collaboration through the signed Agreement would be of great benefit to the Serbian citizens.
